Family involvement plays an important role in a child's success in therapy. At the end of each session, our therapists provide individualized feedback, recommendations, and strategies that can be incorporated into your child's daily routines and activities at home. Consistently practicing these skills between sessions helps reinforce what is learned in therapy and supports continued progress toward your child's goals. Our team is always available to answer questions and provide guidance along the way.
An evaluation is the initial assessment used to gain a comprehensive understanding of your child's communication, feeding, or developmental needs. It typically includes a combination of formal testing, informal play-based assessments, and parent/caregiver input. During the evaluation, the therapist will gather information about your child's strengths, challenges, and developmental history to determine whether therapy is recommended and to develop appropriate treatment goals. The evaluation also provides an opportunity for families to ask questions and discuss any concerns they may have about their child's development.
At Therabuddies, we believe that children learn best through play. Our therapy sessions are designed to be engaging, interactive, and individualized, using play-based therapy to target each child's specific goals. Through games, toys, activities, and meaningful interactions, therapists create opportunities to develop communication, language, speech, feeding, and social skills in a fun and motivating environment.
Each session is tailored to your child's needs and interests, helping them build skills while staying actively engaged. At the end of the session, therapists provide families with feedback and strategies to support continued progress at home.
